Let’s explain the benefits of coaching and why Mountain 2 Coaching is the best fit to guide you and your team on the journey.

Why Coaching?

Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their own performance. Great coaches guide you based on timeless principles and hold you accountable to your goals and plan to succeed:

For You:

An Executive Coach focuses on your business behavior to deliver the following benefits:

1. Improved Relationships through Emotional Intelligence

Coaching helps us become more “people smart”. More...

Our education system and most forms of professional training focus on making us more “book smart”. Executive Coaching teaches Self Awareness, Resilience, Empathy, and how to build healthy business Relationships:

2. Improved Leadership skills Through Behavior Change

Coaching helps you realize that the behaviors that have contributed to your success in the past may not be serving you well once you become a leader. More...

There is a paradigm shift that must happen in how you view success, to see success in terms of the accomplishments of others rather than your own. Coaching identifies the behaviors and habits you need to change and help you put in place strategies to overcome them.

3. Improved results through Structure

Coaching allows you to stay on your plan. More...

An ongoing relationship with a coach holds you accountable to do what you know you need to do, regardless of challenges that come up and keep you busy:

Executive Coaching produces results in your career in a similar manner that hiring a Personal Trainer produces results at the gym. You may know what you need to do and even have a plan. Coaching provides the structure you need to stay focused on your plan.

4. Improved Effectiveness through Character Habits

Coaching nurtures positive habits that improve your behavior and make you more effective at what you do. More...

You probably have a copy of 7 Habits of Highly Effective People on your bookshelf. Can you name all seven? Coaching reminds you of them and helps you bring those habits to life:

Implementing these habits lead to greatness in your chosen pursuits.

For Your Company:

Implementing a coaching culture in your organization delivers powerful, tangible benefits:

1. Increased Engagement

Coaching encourages engagement through developing an alignment of values and vision between people and their company. More...

Research shows that 17.2% of employees are disengaged, and these disengaged employees cost an organization 34% of their salary.

By understanding their goals they are able to take charge of their career and engage in positive career conversations with their boss.

2. Reduced Turnover

Companies that embrace a culture of coaching along with a willingness to craft jobs accordingly can keep talented people from leaving. More...

Coaching teaches people how to improve their business relationships and set clear expectations. The result is better communication with their boss. Many people leave their job because of their relationship with their boss.

Additionally, a focus on their career goals and a thorough understanding of their strengths allows people to properly align their roles in their organization to provide meaning and purpose.

3. Improved Performance

Coaching results in improved awareness, lasting behavioral changes, and an ability to confront change. More...

According to the 2019 Executive Coaching Survey published by Sherpa Coaching, 15% of leaders delivered improved performance ratings in achieving their goals after receiving coaching.

Sherpa Coaching provides a structured, process-driven experience focused on results.  At Sherpa, executive coaching means regular meetings between a business leader and a trained facilitator, designed to produce positive changes in business behavior in a limited time frame. Sherpa coaching has proven tools that are used by coaches to guide people on how to overcome stumbling blocks they have that are keeping them from being successful.

4. Prepared Leaders

Coaching prepares people to lead by improving their business behavior and ability to communicate effectively. More...

By understanding their personality and what drives them, people are better able to relate to others. Coaching teaches and enforces accountability to the goals created out of the coaching engagement. Good leadership is contagious. So is bad leadership. Nurturing a coaching culture in your organization will keep you on the positive side of the equation.

Why M2C?

There are many great coaches out there. Mountain 2 Coaching differentiates itself from the herd with the following practices:

1. Our Cost-Effective Pricing Model allows us to Reach More People

We are committed to working with you to build a win-win business relationship. More...

Coaching delivers tremendous value to any organization or individual. Our goal is to provide quality coaching services to as many people as possible, as early in their career as possible.

2. Our Data-Driven Approach Gets to the Right Answers Faster

Better stories are created with a quicker path to positive results when you use data to provide a starting point for the discussions. More...

As a project manager and leader, Greg has delivered many complex projects. He learned the importance of gathering both qualitative and quantitative data to support the narrative stories told regarding plans and progress. The original stories we tell often misrepresents the reality of the situation due to our biases and wishful thinking.

M2C engagements utilize comprehensive personality and 360-degree assessments to establish reference points for coaching discussions. They provide a scientific approach to understanding the critical components of your behavior by exploring how you view yourself and the world around you. The results support the coaching effort by providing clear information about your strengths, weaknesses, and how others perceive you. Only you know the specifics of your story. However, we all have hidden biases that can taint our stories. Leveraging years of scientific study, the assessment provides data to use a point of reference for our discussions. The result is that we get to a better answer quicker.

3. We commit to a Long-Term Relationship with our Clients

We realize that your career is a journey, and we will be there for you down the road when you need it. More...

Greg was introduced to coaching as a client in 2013 and found it to be a valuable tool for discovering his passion for learning, teaching, and growing others. He learned how to communicate effectively and build successful relationships. Coaching has allowed Greg to develop a vision for the remainder of his career and provides structure and accountability.

Greg found many of the benefits of coaching occurred after the initial engagement. He continues to meet regularly with his coach. For this reason, Mountain 2 Coaching is committed to offering ongoing accountability as a service offering to all of our clients.

4. We are Certified in Proven Processes and Tools

We focus our energy on helping people get the most from your career by leveraging proven knowledge, processes, and tools rather than reinventing the wheel. More...

Before starting Mountain 2 Coaching, Greg became a Certified Sherpa Coach (CSC) and now has become a Birkman Certified Professional (BCP).

Coaching engagements at Mountain 2 Coaching follow the Sherpa Coaching process. Sherpa Coaching is a proven, published process frequently engaged to assist people who need leadership development, are in transition (a new job or promotion), or face a specific problem or challenge.

M2C utilizes Birkman for personality and 360-degree assessments. Birkman has been used to assess business behavior for over 65 years and provides comprehensive data on personality, social perception, and occupational interests.
